Launch of EPR's 2008 Bocce Season

This afternoon I was invited to the attend the launch of Enjoying Planned Retirement’s (EPR) 2008 Bocce Season.

Bocce is just one of the 47 activities organised by EPR, one of Maroondah’s largest seniors groups with over 400 members. Like all of EPR’s events this was a fun-filled day, complete with a bocce tournament and a picnic at the grounds located at Norwood Hall in Ringwood North.

The Bocce activities, are only possible due to the committed volunteers that are part of the group, particularly Leo Mioni who organises the event and ensures that everyone feels welcome. One of EPR’s strengths is the willingness of its membership to actively participate in organising activities and this is demonstrated through the friendliness and activeness of the group.
