The Port Phillip Community Group provides a range of social and community services, including emergency relief and programs that strengthen community inclusion, across the entirety of Port Phillip.

This morning, alongside Cr Justin Halliday (Alma Ward), I was invited to Alma Road Community House to meet several staff and volunteers of the Port Phillip Community Group and to see one of their programs, the Chatty Cafe.

The Chatty Cafe program is designed to bring community members together and reduce social isolation, by fostering conversation and new friendships. In addition, several volunteers spoke about their involvement in Port Phillip Community Group and the services that provide to the wider community.
