Edwards Park: Onsite Meeting

This afternoon I was invited to the onsite meeting held for Edwards Park to discuss the relocation and upgrade of public toilet facilities.

Council endorsed the public toilet upgrade at its meeting on 11 December 2024 and as part of item, I requested an onsite meeting for Council to better understand community concerns.

As part of today’s meeting I was able to hear resident concerns firsthand and provided advice on how the community could raise these further with Council.

Each year Council’s undertake a community satisfaction survey, which assesses Council’s on key performance indicators, such as consultation and engagement. The City of Port Phillip has been underperforming on consultation and engagement and I am very keen to reverse this trend.

Today’s onsite meeting is one way we can better engage our community and listen to them firsthand.
