Adjacent to Dig In Community Gardens are the sporting grounds of JL Murphy, including the Port Melbourne Soccer Club

The Port Melbourne Sharks compete in the National Premier Leagues (NPL) at an elite competition level. I was invited by the Port Melbourne Sharks to watch their game against the South Melbourne Football Club.

While Port Melbourne did lose by a point, the game remained extremely close between the two clubs.
